Dr. Bella Lauren
is proud to introduce
The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™ into her practice.
Dr. Bella Lauren is a professional practitioner of these techniques as well as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician, Licensed Midwife and Licensed Massage Therapist. She has completed her professional training course under the tutelage of renowned healer, herbalist and author Dr. Rosita Arvigo.
Dr. Arvigo developed these techniques after studying for over 30 years with a Maya Shaman of Belize, Don Elijio Panti. Don Elijio believed that a woman’s center is her uterus. “If a woman’s uterus is out of balance, so is she,” he would say. Midwives and healers of Central America agree that most female troubles are caused by the “wandering womb.”
The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™(ATMAT) are founded on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage which is an external non invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi. The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage™ address position and health of the pelvic and abdominal organs. The work is best known for the correction of the prolapsed, fallen, or tilted uterus and for the prevention and treatment of benign prostate enlargement in men, and for relief of many common digestive disorders.
Dr. Lauren became intrigued by Dr. Arvigo’s work as she perceived it to be a wonderful complement to her range of holistic healing modalities that she offers her clients. Dr. Bella says "This type of bodywork gently repositions internal organs and restores balance back to the body in a natural holistic way. After as little as one treatment patients have reported reduced back pain, less bladder problems and overall better health with increased fertility and pelvic health."
Did you know that In the US, between 12 to 20 percent of women suffer from chronic pelvic pain, according to the National Pain Foundation. That’s between 20 and 30 million women! And according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 6 millions also suffer from infertility? Dr. Bella says "These statistics are astronomical and unnecessary. These issues can be addressed and many times corrected naturally with Mayan abdominal massage, herbs and acupuncture. This innovative therapeutic modality combined with acupuncture and herbs is incredible. Used together in synchronicity they will help both groups achieve their desired results, less pain and more fertility."
